Transformer Shunte Clamps

When selecting materials for transformer clamps, factors such as strength, rust resistance, and cost need to be comprehensively considered. Steel plates are commonly used materials. Low-carbon steel or low-alloy steel have high strength and rigidity, can withstand various forces, are suitable for manufacturing clamps of large transformers, and have relatively low cost.

Stainless steels such as SUS301 and SUS304 have good rust resistance and certain elasticity. SUS301 has stable resilience and is suitable for assembly needs. High-carbon steel such as SK7 has excellent wear resistance after quenching and hardening. After stamping, heat treatment, and tin plating, it can meet the requirements of clamping force. Phosphor copper such as C5191 is corrosion-resistant and has good elasticity, and is mostly used in high-end transformers or those with high requirements for performance stability.

Design Considerations: Transformer clamps are designed with precise dimensional matching to the core and winding structures, ensuring uniform force distribution. Factors such as transformer capacity, voltage level, and operating environment (e.g., temperature, humidity) are incorporated into the design to determine parameters like structural thickness and connection strength.

Manufacturing Processes: The production involves cutting, welding, and surface treatment of steel materials. Welding processes require strict control to avoid deformation and ensure structural integrity. Surface treatments such as painting or galvanizing are applied to enhance corrosion resistance, especially for transformers used in harsh environments.

Coordination with Other Components: They work in conjunction with components like insulating pads, pull rods, and pressure nails. Insulating pads prevent electrical conduction between clamps and the core, while pull rods and pressure nails assist in achieving axial and radial fixation of windings, forming a comprehensive fixing system.

Vibration and Noise Control: The rigid structure of clamps helps reduce vibration transmission from the core and windings. Reasonable design of connection points and use of damping materials (in some cases) can further minimize noise generated during transformer operation.
