Transformer clamps are key components ensuring the stable operation of transformers, with their core functions reflected in three aspects. Firstly, they can firmly fix the iron core silicon steel sheets, preventing the silicon steel sheets from loosening or misaligning due to factors such as vibration and electromagnetic force during transformer operation, ensuring the integrity of the iron core magnetic circuit and reducing magnetic loss. Secondly, as a load-bearing structure, they need to bear the entire weight of the transformer body, including the gravity of the iron core and coils. At the same time, when the transformer encounters a short-circuit fault, they resist the huge axial force generated by the coils to prevent deformation of the transformer body. In addition, clamps can fix accessories such as lead wooden parts and tap-changer brackets by means of welding support plates, ensuring the precise position of each component and maintaining good electrical connection and insulation performance of the transformer.

Installation Precautions: During installation, clamps must be aligned accurately to avoid uneven stress. Torque values of fixing bolts need to meet specifications to ensure firmness without causing excessive pressure on the core or windings.

Application in Different Transformer Types: For dry-type transformers, clamps often have better insulation performance to adapt to air-cooled conditions. In oil-immersed transformers, they are designed to be compatible with oil circulation, with smooth surfaces to prevent oil flow obstruction.

Maintenance and Inspection: Regular checks include inspecting for loose bolts, corrosion, and deformation. Damaged clamps need to be replaced promptly to avoid affecting the overall stability of the transformer.

Technological Developments: With advancements in materials science, new high-strength, low-magnetic materials are being used in clamp manufacturing, reducing weight while improving performance. Computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation technologies are also optimizing clamp structures for better efficiency.
